What is a contact status?

A contact's status is either active or inactive, and indicates whether or not we can attempt to deliver a gift to them.

When you add your contacts to LoLo, our platform evaluates their information to determine if we can attempt to deliver a gift to each contact.

If everything checks out, the status of your contact will be marked as Active.

However, if we encounter any issues that prevent us from delivering a gift, the contact's status will be updated to Inactive.

What would make a contact inactive?

  • You haven't activated your subscription yet -  If your contacts show an inactive status with the reason listed as "potentially waitlisted," you haven't activated your subscription. Once you complete the activation process, the system will automatically review all your contacts to determine if they can be made active, and their status will be updated accordingly.
  • They have chosen to unsubscribe, which means they have opted out of all communication methods, including text messages and emails. As a result, our system is no longer able to deliver gifts to them.

  • They are on the Waitlist - this indicates that another subscriber is currently sending the gift of the month to this contact, and as a result, they have been placed on your waitlist. Our platform is designed to ensure that gift recipients receive their gifts from only one sender in any given area, which helps our subscribers maintain a one-to-one connection. The contact will be removed from the waitlist if the other subscriber decides to take them off their list or unsubscribes from LoLo.

  • They are assigned to a gift area that is still in the process of building enrollment. Some gift areas are not yet actively sending monthly gifts. If you assign a contact to one of these inactive gift areas, their status will be marked as inactive until the area begins sending gifts.
  • They do not have a gift area assigned -  To correct this, click on the "Edit" button that looks like a green square with a pencil inside that appears to the left of a contact missing a gift zone selection. In the form that pops up you can select a gift area from a dropdown list.
  • They are missing contact info - If a contact happened to import without a contact method (it's missing completely - no phone or email) we mark the contact as inactive because we can't send them a gift.

A contact's status automatically updated after you make an edit, so if you change their contact info or gift area selection, the contact may become Active!
