How to Set Up 2-Factor Authentication for LoLo

You can turn on 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) inside of your LoLo profile to add an additional layer of security to your account.

Looking to learn more about what 2FA Authentication is? Check out this article.

Important note, before you get started:

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in LoLo is facilitated through an authentication app, which generates temporary random codes that serve as your second layer of security. You have the flexibility to select any authentication app that suits your preferences. Popular options include Google Authenticator, Bitwarden, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password, and Duo.

Before you get started turning on 2FA in your LoLo profile (instructions below), choose which app you will use for verification codes and download it to your device.

Once you're ready, follow these steps:

  • Inside your LoLo account, click on your name in the lower left corner
  • Choose View Profile
  • Scroll down to below the password reset fields and click the toggle button to turn 2-Factor authentication on (if the button is gray, 2-Factor is off)
  • When the toggle button is clicked, a popup will appear with a QR code
  • Follow the steps in your authentication app to scan the QR code and set up a new verification for the LoLo account.
  • Once you have the code generated, add it to the box that says "Authentication Code" below the QR code
  • Scroll down and click the blue button that reads "Verify and Enable"
  • You'll see a banner on your profile page letting you know that it has been successfully set up!
