A gift area/zone is the area from which we choose local vendors to participate in the Local Gift of the Month.
Gift areas vary in size due to various factors, including: Geography, population, number of local businesses, and where people live, work and play. You can select a gift area for each of your contacts so that they get the gift that’s most relevant to them.
To Update the Gift Area/Zone for Your Contacts:
- Inside your LoLo account, click on the “Contacts” tab on the left
- To the left of each contact you’ll see an “Edit” button that looks like a pencil in a square:
- When you click the Edit button, a form will open up and you can make edits to: name, email, phone, zip code or zone.
- Enter a zip code to allow LoLo to choose the closest gift area (within 30 miles) for your contact, or choose the new gift area from the dropdown .
- Save your changes
Did you set a gift area, but your contact is still inactive? Some gift areas aren't actively sending gifts yet, so the contact status will remain inactive. Find out more about contact status in this article.
Editing contacts that are syncing from your CRM: Next to the edit button you'll see a trash can icon - if the trash can is red, your contact was entered in LoLo and may be fully edited in LoLo. If the trash can is gray, you have a CRM integration in place and are syncing the contact from your CRM. You can still edit the contact's gift area inside LoLo. See more in the guide below:
