Can I remove an individual contact from a gift?

For a temporary change, you can edit a gift to add or remove individual contacts assigned to that gift specifically.

 

From time to time you may want to skip sending a gift to a specific individual or contact - sometimes this is due to the type of gift being delivered (alcohol, meat, etc.).


To add or remove a contact from a specific gift:

  • When a month's gifts are ready in your account, click on "My Gift Campaigns" and then click "Edit" to the right of the gift you'd like to make changes to. The edit button is green and looks like a square with a pencil inside of it ()
  • The first step takes you to the message that appears on your campaigns, you can make edits or click save and next at the bottom of the screen. You can also click on Step 2 at above the message box.
  • You'll see a list of your contacts assigned to the gift on the left hand side of the screen. To remove one or more of those contacts, simply click the X to the right of the contact's information, in the gray box.  To add contacts to this gift, search for the contact on the right, then click and drag them to the left. Drop them on the list on the left to add them to the gift.
  • Every time you click the X or add a contact, your work is saved. Click "next" when you are finished making changes.

This edits only the specific gift - it does not make permanent changes to your contact's gift area assignment.


Don't see "Edit" next to your gifts? These changes can only be made inside the 48 hour window between when a gift becomes available in your account each month, and when it automatically sends. Edits to campaigns can no longer be made one (1) hour prior to the queue time listed on your gift.

Please note: there is currently a bug related to the count of contacts that show as assigned to your gift. If you make edits (adding or removing contacts) your contact count will not update on the main Gift Campaigns tab or sometimes on the last step, where you can preview your gift. Our team has this bug in queue and we will get it fixed soon!
