Let Your Recipients Know They've Been Enrolled

Best practice is to let your recipients know that they've been enrolled in the Local Gift of the Month campaign.

This will help with your engagement rate since it should reduce the number of recipients who may mistake the message for spam. A free gift sometimes seems too good to be true!

We would recommend that you use your preferred method to contact your recipients, whether that's email, text, or phone calls. We've written suggested verbiage that you can use:

Hi there,

I wanted to let you know that I’ve enrolled you in my Local Gift of the Month program! Every month, you’ll receive a gift from me to use at a featured local business. The gifts are digital and delivered right to your phone, making it a breeze to redeem.

I’ve partnered with LoLo - Locals Supporting Locals - for this unique program, and I hope you’ll use the gifts to explore new local, independent spots around town. This might seem too good to be true, but I promise you it’s not! Our goal is to help support local businesses and give back to our community with each gift.

Keep an eye out for an email from me with your first gift (be sure to check your Spam, Trash, and Promotions folders if you don’t see it come through). If I have your cell number, you’ll also receive this gift via text message for convenience. When you’re ready to redeem your monthly gift, just take your phone to the featured merchant, pull up the link to view the gift, and click through to redeem. That’s it!

Enjoy your gift – I appreciate you!
